I am an experienced technical project, operations, maintenance and engineering manager, having worked in heavy industry for over 30 years in a variety of roles.
My most recent position was General Manager Technical Services for a leading Australian provider of specialised logistics, materials handling and processing solutions for customers in metals, mining and resource industries.
I have held senior leadership roles across a broad range of contract services businesses involved in Production Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, and Mining Services and I am acknowledged for particular skills and experience in “turning around” underperforming businesses and developing strong client relationships. During my time in heavy industry I have developed a particular expertise in leading change management and implementing process standardisation to improve efficiency and reduce costs within businesses. This was achieved by applying analytical problem solving techniques and process mapping to solve a wide range of complex problems from equipment reliability to process and quality improvement.
I am recognised as a true advocate of change and efficient use of capital – infrastructure, mobile plant and human. I have extensive management systems experience providing operating, maintenance and project teams with leadership, discipline and structured processes.Throughout my career I have achieved consistently high results through a committed approach to delivering what is promised to the client, while also delivering the desired commercial outcomes to the company I work for.
